Dear Wildcat Families,

As we enter the beautiful season of thankfulness, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for your continued support and partnership. Our students are working hard, performing well on their recent assessments, and showing tremendous growth. Their dedication and determination make us so proud.

Tutorials are now off and running, and our teachers are providing additional support to help every student reach their full potential. If your child’s teacher has reached out about joining tutorials, please return the permission slip as soon as possible. We want to ensure every Wildcat has access to the help they need to shine their brightest.

We’re also excited to begin planning student clubs, which will launch at the end of November or early December. These clubs will give our Wildcats even more opportunities to explore their interests, connect with others, and develop new skills.

As we move into the holiday season, let us take time to reflect on what we are thankful for. If you are in a position to help others, we encourage you to do so and if you or your family are in need of assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to our School Counselors, Ms. Glenn and Ms. Francis or Communities in Schools Counselor, Ms. Caraway. We are here to support our Wildcat families in every way we can.

Finally, a huge thank you for your continued participation and for ensuring your children are here and ready to learn each day. Attendance truly matters! We are also thrilled to share that our recent First Nine Week Honor Roll Celebration was a great success. We had over 160 students and their families who celebrated with us for the joyous occasion. Also, I am honored to send a huge Congratulations to our Youngblood Intermediate staff, students and families who took home the 1st place award for the highest participation at our tent and the most social media presence for Alief Proud 2025. Thank you for showing your Wildcat pride and spirit.

We are truly thankful for our Wildcat community. Together, we make a difference every single day.

With gratitude,

Cassandra Dyson

Mission

The students of Youngblood are our highest priority. We believe Youngblood must possess a warm, caring, positive environment, where students love learning and will learn to set goals and achieve those goals. Youngblood must be a place where individual learning styles are recognized, where teachers teach, and where students learn in a safe environment.
