Dear Youngblood Families,
We are off to a fantastic start this school year. As we move into the fall season, we are reminded that this is a time of change, growth, and new opportunities. Our students have completed their Beginning of Year diagnostic assessments, and in our very first round of district assessments they are already performing strong. We are proud of the momentum we have built together, and I am confident this is only the beginning of even greater growth ahead.
This year, our theme is ALL IN. Just like a winning team, success happens when everyone gives their best effort. Being ALL IN-means showing grit, resilience, and commitment to push from good to great. As Wildcats, we are playing as one team, with every member contributing to our victory both inside and outside of the classroom.
As a campus and district, we are also focused on strengthening both writing and student discourse. Our students are writing in every subject area and engaging in meaningful conversations to deepen their learning. To guide this work, we follow our districtβs writing protocol: Think it. Write it. Speak it. Prove it. This process ensures that every student has the opportunity to think critically, express themselves in writing, and communicate effectively.
We are also excited to invite you to our Block Party as we celebrate Youngbloodβs official Texas Education Agency rating of a βB.β This celebration is about honoring the hard work of our students, staff, and families and looking ahead to our next goal: an βAβ! Details can be found in the flyer included in this newsletter, and we hope to see you there.
Thank you, parents, for showing up strong at our Open House. It was a huge success! We are grateful for your partnership, and we encourage you to stay engaged by attending future events, staying connected with your childβs teacher, and celebrating all of the wonderful things happening on campus.
Finally, we want to celebrate the fact that our students are averaging 97β98% attendance so far this year! Thank you for making sure your children are here, rested, and ready to learn each day. Consistent attendance makes a huge difference in student success, and we appreciate your commitment to this.
Together, with the ALL IN spirit and teamwork of our Wildcat community, we are building something special at Youngblood. Letβs keep working together to make this our best year yet!
With gratitude,
Cassandra Dyson, Principal
